This is Charlie AT doginvestor DOT com, a finance investment professional who has a nose for good investments and can sniff out a good deal. I also like digging into financials and scratching through the details. Also, just like my dog ego, mostly I just want to have fun.
What have I done? My journey has taken me across multiple business-related industries in my quest. Through private equity, buying great businesses and world-class management teams, to running my own tech business. Over and above I invest my own capital for growth.
The finance plan is:
- Earn the best return on my investments through choosing shares/businesses wisely while taking appropriate risk.
- Increase my income (new businesses, raises, career growth, education, passive income from investments)
- Manage my expenses (low lifestyle debt, reduce lifestyle inflation, investing 100% of bonusses, channeling expenses to things I care about – like family and vacations, not cars and insurance.)
This blog tracks my journey to reaching my financial goals and to get/provide some insight into the best ways of doing so. As it is a journey, little changes help – I know the destination but the path taken will never be direct!
What I do
Investments
I enjoy tinkering with businesses and getting to understand them. I want to know why an investment makes profit and how the business model works so I can invest.
Family
Family is my everything. I’ll give it all up as long as I get to be with them and we’re all happy and healthy.
Dogs and nature
Dogs are cool. They’re fun to be around and they make you feel better. The only thing cooler than dogs, are having one and going out into nature and exploring.
